The Role:
Legend is excited to hire a Legal Assistant in St Helier, Jersey to join our global Legal Team. The Legal Assistant will play a crucial role in optimising and enhancing our legal operations as well as supporting on routine legal tasks and assignments. This position is central to enhancing the smooth running & administration of our legal team, improving internal processes and policies, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of our legal function.
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to take ownership of the team’s legal affairs from an operational and administrative standpoint, helping to make the team a more slick and well functioning outfit. The role will also involve carrying out more routine legal tasks.

What You'll Do:
- Take ownership of our internal legal team administration for new work requests, including management of legal inboxes, legal communication channels as well as assignment and tracking of matters across the team.
- Support with the day-to-day legal review and support of supplier agreements via our procurement platform, taking ownership of the legal stages of the process and utilizing legal templates and playbook(s).
- Identifying, updating, strengthening and enforcing key team policies and processes (both internally and externally) including ensuring legal document repositories, contract databases and information management platforms are updated and maintained.
- Be involved in carrying out key repeatable legal processes including across our Legal IP and governance functions, continually looking for ways to optimise them.
- Assist with key legal project management, including organising meetings, managing project documentation, and supporting project objectives.
- Enhance legal technology tools, coordinating with third-party vendors to optimise functionality and resolve operational issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to progress routine legal matters efficiently, maintaining accountability and service delivery.
- Support across various legal and governance areas and initiatives on an ad hoc basis, carrying out research, organizational tasks and other support as needed.
What You'll Bring:
- Strong operational and organisational skills, with a focus on process improvement, project management support and communication.
- Proactive mindset with attention to detail, capable of identifying inefficiencies and proposing practical solutions.
- Interest in reviewing legal agreements with appropriate supervision, utilising templates or playbooks effectively
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic legal team and making a substantial impact on legal operations and administration.
- Familiarity with legal tools and technology is advantageous.
- Law degree qualification is advantageous
The Interview Process:
- 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 mins via Zoom)
- 2nd: Interview with our team the Head of Legal/General Counsel and the Associate General Counsel & Group Governance Lead (1 hour onsite interview)
- 3rd: Interview with the Senior People Partner and Head of Legal/General Counsel (1 hour interview via Zoom)
