The Role
We're on the lookout for an inspiring Engineering Manager to lead and empower our back-end team. In this role, you’ll be driving the personal growth and development of your team members while strategically shaping capacity and roadmap planning. You’ll also play a key role in crafting and executing the vision that guides our overall engineering strategy.
Your Impact:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, SEO and delivery, to ensure alignment and effective communication with Engineering.
- Perform technical guidance and mentorship, individual performance evaluations, one-on-one meetings and help develop personal growth paths
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
- Ensure software produced by the team meets all performance, quality and security requirements
- Collaborate with business leaders and management to determine project scope and direction
- Working closely with the Head of Engineering and Software Architect to develop solution plans that meet our immediate opportunities and set us up for growth strategies
What You'll Bring:
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale solutions as a senior engineer.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a team of software developers.
- Strong ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience working in teams that follow best practices, including testing, pair programming, documentation, and code reviews.
- Experience in defining roadmaps and shaping long-term technical strategies.
The Interview Process
- 1st: Initial Chat with Talent Partner (30 minute interview via Google Meet)
- 2nd: Interview with our team: Head of Engineering, Front End Team Lead and Sr Back End Developer (1 hour video interview via Zoom)
- 3rd: Follow up interview with Sr Back End Developer, Talent Partner and Product (interview via Zoom)
