  • In terms of technical skills for the Managing Editor role, you ideally bring:
  • A strong managerial toolkit, understanding how to best lead your team members to unlock the most of their potential. You’ll have significant experience managing other people managers [this could look like having a few direct reports with a larger team of 6 plus].
  • An extensive track record of writing and editing high-quality content, boosting user engagement and organic traffic for English-speaking markets.
  • Proven experience as a process builder - you’ll have set up new guidelines, processes to help drive team performance. Ideally, using AI and automation to ship quality content at velocity.
  • Demonstrable experience of using SEO tools [like SEMRush, AHREFS] and Content Performance tools [like G4A] to boost user engagement and organic traffic. More details here

  • For this role as a Managing Editor, you will have multiple chances to progress further with us over time.
  • We can’t make any iron-clad promises as to timelines, as more senior roles are unlocked by us reaching our organisational targets. But an example could include growing into a Head of Content role taking ownership of multiple markets through a team of Managing Editors.
